BACKGROUND
Sarah Coleman has been making things and painting things since childhood.
Those days were spent living deep in the countryside nestled between woodland and lakes, an inspiration to her still.
Sarah was part of a creative family and home was in a craft centre in Leicestershire. Here Sarah relished the artistic vibe and learnt to experiment with different mediums and materials.
EDUCATION
Sarah has a BA (hons) in Fine Art from Sheffield Hallam University. Additional Art Therapy training enabled her to examine the deep emotional and spiritual side of the creative process. Recently her interest in exploring subconscious associations has led her to take a practitioner's course in Clinical Hypnotherapy.
EARLY SUCCESS
After completing her BA Sarah exhibited work in galleries throughout the UK. She has artwork in private collections in America, New Zealand and Europe. Sarah was awarded the Marks and Spencer’s young graduate prize and first prize winner at the Portobello Open. London shows included the New English Art Club at the Mall Galleries and the prestigious Royal Academy Summer Exhibition. Solo London shows were also held at the M&S headquarters and Lyndon's fine Art.
